About the Director: Damian Overton
Damian is the founder of the independent theatre and film group OMAD Productions which is based in South East Queensland. Damian has written twelve one-act plays and recently produced his first full-length play THE BULLY at Metro Arts in Brisbane. Damian was the winner of the LGBTIQ Artist of the year at the Queensland Pride Awards in 2014.
His first two short films have taken home various awards locally and internationally, including Best Short Film (Melbourne Indie Film Festival, Australian Screen Industry Network, Berlin Flash Film Fest) and Best Director (Screen It! Film Festival). Current projects include writing his first feature film script and developing a new LGBTQ short film..
Damian has teamed up again with producing partner Manon Lewis from WildHer Productions to produce the short film “Papercut”.
